The Triphala is a combination of 3 fruits, Harada or Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Amla or Amalaki (Phyllanthus emblica) and Bihara or Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica). These 3 fruits are mixed in equal quantities in order to create the Triphala Churna (Triphala in Powder form).
Triphala integrates with the practice of Phytotherapy, specifically Ayurveda in India for thousands of years. This combination of 3 fruits is now seen as very beneficial for lowering blood pressure as it has a blood purifying action, helps to detoxify the liver by promoting the proper functioning of the bile and regulates the intestinal system contributing to good digestion and absorption of nutrients by the body.
This Ayurvedic formula stimulates the metabolic system to function more effectively, thus being able to eliminate toxins present in the body more easily.
According to Ayurveda practice this combination contains the 3 doshas, Vata, Pitta and Kapha in the same proportion making this mixture very balanced and promoter of that, balance in our organism.
The three fruits
Amla has 20 times more Vitamin C than orange, has an antioxidant effect and promotes the health of the immune system. It is beneficial for the digestive system, helping to improve symptoms of those suffering from gastritis, irritable colon, Crohn's disease and intestinal disorders.

And finally Bihara a fruit rich in Omega 3 and Linoleic acid that nourishes your respiratory, urinary and digestive systems.
