Where on the body should I apply my essential oil topically?
Head area
Temples
Apply 1 drop of the essential oil of your choice to your temples. Oils especially good for their calming and mood-enhancing properties: Lavender, Frankincense and Peppermint (Peppermint is very good for increasing concentration and for when you have headaches).
Behind the ear
Apply 1 to 2 drops of your favorite essential oil behind your ear. Oils especially good for their ability to relieve headaches, insomnia, fatigue and dizziness: Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Frankincense or Lavender.
Front of the ear
Apply 1 to 2 drops of your favorite essential oil. Oils especially good for relieving earaches, tinnitus and pain typical of post-dive swimmers: Oils from Lavender, Basil or Juniper.
Nuca
Apply 1 to 3 drops of your favorite essential oil. Some of the best essential oils for the nape are Lavender, Frankincense e Basil. When applied, they relieve headaches, insomnia, nausea and motion sickness (travel, traveling by car, plane, etc.), Peppermint's is especially good for these cases related to movement.
Shoulder Area
Apply 2 to 4 drops of your preferred essential oil. Especially good oils to help you relax: use essentials oil like Ylang-Ylang or Wintergreen for joint pain and shoulder tension.
Under the Heart
Apply 1 to 2 drops of Bergamot or Ylang-Ylang in the heart region to lower blood pressure, relieve symptoms of stress and depression.
Chest area
Apply 1 to 3 drops of Eucalyptus, Peppermint or Lemon to relieve symptoms of asthma, bronchitis, cough or congestion.
Stomach
Apply 2 to 3 drops of Clary Sage or Ginger over the stomach area for relief of nausea, poor digestion and menstrual cramps.
Pulse
Apply essential oil of Basil or Lime to relieve the symptoms of carpal tunnel.
Foot Area
Heel Apply 1 to 3 drops of essential oil of Tea Tree or Clary Sage to help with female reproductive and fertility problems.
Soles of feet Apply 1 to 2 drops of Lemon, Eucalyptus, Peppermint or Ylang-Ylang for the treatment of bronchitis, asthma, cough and high blood pressure.
Inner arch of the feet Apply 1 to 2 drops of Cypress essential oil or Marjoram for back pain and kidney treatment.
External arch of the feet Apply 1 to 2 drops of essential oil from Juniper or Grapefruit to help with liver treatments, bladder or colon.
