For dogs that spend a lot of time out of the house there is nothing better than preventing the appearance of fleas and ticks. For that we have for you a completely natural recipe that you can make at home with your essential oils!

This recipe does not work to treat cases where your dog has already caught ticks or fleas, it serves to prevent the appearance of these unwanted passengers. Prevention is always easier than treating when the problem is already installed.

Have the following ingredients with you:

• Cider vinegar
• Tea Tree Essential Oil (Melaleuca)
• Castor oil (optional)
• 1 Teaspoon of sea salt
• Distilled water

Recipe

Mix 350 ml (11.83 oz) of cider vinegar with 100 ml (3.38 oz) of distilled water in a spray bottle and mix 10 to 20 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil (Melaleuca) and add 30 ml (1 oz) of Castor Oil. Add 1 teaspoon of sea salt.

Depending on the size of your dog, adjust the number of drops of essential oil. 10 drops on a small dog and 20 drops on a larger dog.

How to Use

Before your dog goes outside and when he comes back into the house, apply the spray. Shake the spray very well before applying. Spray along your dog's coat but PROTECT the eyes and the inside of the ears.

Repeat this process up to 2 times a week.

Note: First test a drop of essential oil on your finger to make your dog smell the Tea Tree, if by chance he doesn't like anything and reacts badly to the aroma, change it to Rosemary Essential Oil.

If there is already a suspicion that your dog has fleas or ticks

Have the following ingredients with you:

• Lemons to extract 120 ml (4 oz) of juice
• Normal shampoo that you use to bathe your dog

Recipe

Mix 120 ml (4 oz) of squeezed lemon juice with 480 ml (16 oz) of water. Then add the normal shampoo you usually use to bathe your dog.

How to Use

Wash your dog normally, insisting on areas where there is more fur.
